Kavi!

Tá eg vaknaði í morgun, heldur svøvntungur, og hugdi út gjøgnum vindeyga, og sá hvussu ljóst tað var úti, serliga tí at fjøllini vóru kavaklødd, tá vaknaði eg beinanvegin ordiliga, eg fekk eitt gott lag á! Eg plagi annars ikki vanliga at gerast í so góðum hýri, so tíðliga á morgni; um tað var tí at eg hevði sovi lutfallsliga leingi, ella tí at tað var ljóst og kavi úti, eitt boð um at várið byrjar at nærkast, veit eg so ikki.

Snow!

When I woke up this morning, kind of sleepy, and looked out through the window, I saw how light it was outside, and especially how the mountains were covered in snow, I actually woke up immediately, and I was in a great mood! I'm not normally, so early in the morning, so I don't know whether it was because I had slept comparatively late, or because it was so light and snowy outside, or whether it was a message that spring is coming...




Eg tók eina mynd, beint tá eg kom úr arbeiði; tá varð nakað av kavanum longu bráðnaður.
I took a picture, on my way home from work; a lot of the snow had melted.

    Thanks for the kind comments about my blog. I do my best to make people aware of the Faroe Islands. I love your blog and the bilingual postings. This is great for someone like myself that has a hard time with the Faroese language. I will use this blog often.
